LG Innotek Mexico Corporation is hiring auto parts specialists. This is interpreted as part of the process to expand production facility in Mexico. Within this year, LG Innotek is soon to confirm the scale of expansion, production capacity, and region.
LG Innotek is hiring experts in production technology, manufacturing, and quality in the San Juan de Rio in Mexico. The company will prefer to hire those who have experience in manufacturing, production technology, and quality work in the electronics, electrical, and EV manufacturing industries.
The recruitment of the professionals has accelerated the expansion of the production facility in Mexico. LG Innotek has yet to reveal details such as facility expansion, investment scale, and production capacity. It is expected that the company will confirm and formalize the expansion of the Mexican within this year.
In 2014, LG Innotek established its first overseas vehicle electronic component production facility(전장부품 생산기지) in San Juan de Rio, Mexico. The Mexican facility produces core parts directly related to vehicle driving performance, safety, and convenience, such as shifting, braking, and steering motors.
The need for capacity expansion became a priority as the demand for electronic components in North America increased significantly. Orders for parts from North American EV customers have also increased significantly.
Mexico is a strategic hub for the electronics industry, where major automotive Tier 1 parts companies similar to Continental and global auto manufacturers such as Toyota, Volkswagen, and Audi are located. It is a key market where LG Innotek can seize various business opportunities.
By expanding its production capacity at the Mexican plant, LG Innotek is anticipated to significantly increase its ability to respond to North American auto customers.
LG Electronics affiliates, such as LG Magna E-Powertrain, and ZKW, are building production facilities in Mexico at the same time, which may have to synergy effects at the group level.
