Doosan Tesna will build mobile application processor (AP) test equipment that is worth KRW 123.8 billion at its Pyeongtaek plant. It will improve the system semiconductor test business.
The Doosan Tesna at Pyeongtaek plant is a memory semiconductor and has system semiconductor test production lines.It will prepare mobile AP test equipment staring in September. Doosan Tesna bought required equipment last May, and it will install there quired equipment by next January.
Doosan Tesna acquired mobile AP test equipment from US Teradyne and other companies. The semiconductor electrical equipment tests will determine the functionality of the equipments. The system semiconductor test business will increase sales and profits with the acquisition. Doosan Tesna will invest in facility forKRW 123.7 billion, and plans to make additional purchases.
Doosan Tesna has a leading system semiconductor testing in Korea. It tests system semiconductor performance such as Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix system-on-chip, analog semiconductor, and communication semiconductor..
Doosan Tesna is expanding its test business with mobile AP, COMS image sensor (CIS), and radio frequency (RF) semiconductors. It is expanding the purchase of system semiconductor equipment from Teradyne and Japanese Advantest’s AP, RF, and CIS.
Doosan Tesna is pursuing mergers and acquisitions (M&A) with semiconductor package companies to increase the sales volume of the back-end process business. It started to acquire a system semiconductor back-end process company, Engion. Which can expand the CIS package business. It will become the post-process business that improves and tests CIS electrical performance.
