LG Display announced on the 12th that it has partnered with Kakao Mobility to install a transparent organic light emitting diode (OLED) display at the COEX parking lot in Samseong-dong, Seoul. 55-inch transparent OLEDs are installed at six main entrances that connect the parking lot and the store, providing visitors with a variety of attractions, such as a greeting video. It can have an effect as if glass is a display by attaching a transparent OLED to a window.
LG Display and Kakao Mobility have collaborated to provide a different parking service experience with advanced displays. COEX is a representative landmark visited by 40 million people annually. It also has the largest parking facility among buildings in Korea.
Min-woo Cho, head of LG Display said, “We will create innovative space design and set-apart information methods using transparent OLED.”
