LG CNS has declared itself as a ‘managed security service provider (MSSP)’. In other words, it has declared itself as a company that is responsible for every task from consulting to service operation related to security.
LG CNS held ‘LG CNS Security Summit 2021’ online on Wednesday and introduced its security brand called ‘SecuXper’.
SecuXper indicates a service that covers IT, OT (operational technology), and IoT (internet of things) security provided by LG CNS. LG CNS plans to provide support for its customers regarding successful transition to digital transformation (DX) based on its differentiated security capability.
The company has established an omnidirectional security system so that its customers do not have to worry about a security issue when introducing a cloud computing service. Its SecuXper Cloud Assessment Tool (CAT) informs a company any vulnerability in security and how to handle the vulnerability in just five minutes.
A case where key information is leaked to the outside by checking the ‘public access’ item on mistake when setting up a cloud environment takes place frequently. The SecuXper CAT checks even a very small part and prevents a major security breach caused by a small mistake.
LG CNS also provides an OT security service for smart factories. Not only the company has security plan for IT systems that managed production schedule, it also has security plan for programmable logic controller (PLC) that controls facilities based on fixed regulations.
LG CNS has 26 smart factory security solutions. These solutions block any outside hacking attempt and harmful codes and it prevents key information from being leaked to the outside. It prevents a case where tens of factories suddenly come to a stop due to cyber attack such as ransomware in advance.
LG CNS has established 7 teams made up of 200 security experts while releasing SecuXper. Red team attempts simulation hacking attempts towards cloud computing and smart factory and analyzes problems and creates solutions for the problems at the same time.
LG CNS has been raising level of competition of SecuXper’s security service through the Red team. The Red team is made up of white hackers that specialize in detecting outside intrusion and diagnosing security vulnerabilities. The team has already performed more than 3,000 cases of analyzing security vulnerabilities in various fields such as manufacturing, finance, and distribution.
LG CNS has also developed a so-called ‘AI Sheriff’ solution that can figure out signs of information leakage in real time through artificial intelligence (AI). The solution analyzes security keywords such as ‘CEO’ and ‘restricted document’, number of times that a security keyword has been mentioned, and abnormal e-mail patterns.
By releasing SecuXper, LG CNS has declared itself as a MSSP and plans to provide every security service needed by its customers as a customized service.
MSSP is a concept that is used in global markets and it indicates a company that performs operation and management related to security across the board. As a MSSP, LG CNS will look for latest security threats and provide security consulting for its customers and installs the optimal security solution for them.
It will be responsible for its customers’ security by operating and controlling a comprehensive security system 24 hours and 365 days.
Hyun Shin-kyun, who is the head of LG CNS DTI Division, said that level of threat by ransomware and hacking attempts is rising very quickly in every field and that LG CNS will be responsible for everything related to security so that its customers can just focus on DX and their core businesses.
