MNtech Global (President Lee Jae-sung), which is a subsidiary of MNtech, stated that it would look to secure at least 50% of the shares of South Korea’s retroreflective film for traffic signs.
MNtech Global is going to participate as a main sponsor for ‘2019 International Road & Traffic EXPO’, which is going to be held at KINTEX from the 25th until the 27th, and display various new products.
It localized retroreflective film with super-high intensity for traffic signs in 2012 and received IR52 Jang Young Sil Award. It replaced at least 30% of foreign retroreflective films used in South Korea with its own product.
Retroreflective film is a special film that allows drivers to be aware of traffic signs when light is shined on it during the night time. It is also used for the side and the back of trucks.
Although normal retroreflective film works the best when light is shined on it from the front, MNtech Global developed a wide-angle retroreflective film with super-high intensity that works well even when light is shined on it from the side. It is looking to increase current market shares up to 50% with this new retroreflective film.

It is going to display wide-angle reflective sheet with super-high intensity for traffic signs (KS T 3507 type XI grade) and retroreflective film-based license plate at the exhibition. It explained that it was the only one to pass South Korean Government’s test for new license plate that will be implemented starting from July of 2020.
It is also going to display reflective strip for cars that has been a requirement for trucks since July. It beat out foreign competitors and delivered its reflective strips to Hyundai Motor Company, Tata Daewoo, and major special automotive manufacturers. It replaced at least 80% of reflective strips and rear reflective plates for trucks in South Korea with its products.
“Our goal is to become best company within South Korea’s traffic sign and license plate markets through our wide-angle reflective sheet with super-high intensity and retroreflective film-based license plate that have been supplied from foreign companies such as 3M.” said President Lee Jae-sung of MNtech Global. “Our ultimate goal is to grow as a global company after achieving our initial goal.”
