A portable energy storage system (ESS) for rapid charging has been released.
Tabos (CEO: Jang Taek-sun) announced on the 18th that it had released a rapid charging portable ESS (Model Name: TB5 Series) built in with a lithium ion battery as the first in Korea.
This product is named ‘Smart Battery Bag.’
“General ‘power bank’ takes around 30 hours to charge a 60 ampere (A) capacity,” said CEO Jang Taek-sun. He emphasized, “Ours is an epochal product to complete charging a 12V 60A in two hours and 30 minutes.”
Smart Battery Bag is also far lighter in weight than its counterparts. Portability has been enhanced as the weight is only around 30% that of products applied with lead storage batteries.
In addition, this product is built in with patented artificial intelligence software. Therefore, it cuts off output by itself when temperature inside increases abnormally. Moreover, MCU, an MC type chip, informs battery life and estimated charging time.
Smart Battery Bag is applied with an LED lamp with maximum output of 10 watts (W) and brightness control in five levels. Even at night time, it can be used without an additional lighting (lantern). LED lamp can be used for up to 200 hours continuously.
Moreover, it is built up with four USB ports, which enable users to conveniently charge smart phones and other devices outdoors.
Together with two cigar jacks, Smart Battery Bag has two ‘binding posts,’ which can be used as a power supply device in industrial sites. Binding post supplies electricity by as much as 450W at once.
The completely sealed aluminum heatproof case emits heat rapidly and prevents not only insects, but also sand and water from flowing to the inside.
Smart Battery Bag is available in two types, a premium model (900 ? 1200Wh) and a distribution model (400 ? 600Wh) according to battery capacity. The premium model can charge an ordinary 10Wh smart phone approximately 100 times and a laptop computer around 60 times. As for weight, distribution model and premium model weigh 3.7 ? 5.5kg and 8.5 ? 9.8kg respectively.
“We plan to supply this product to a large-sized department store in the near future,” said CEO Jang Taek-sun. “We are also scheduled to release a new high-function product built in with an inverter early next month.”

급속 충전이 가능한 휴대형 에너지저장시스템(ESS)이 나왔다.
타보스(대표 장택순)는 리튬이온 배터리를 내장해 급속 충전이 가능한 휴대형 ESS(모델명 TB5 시리즈)를 국내 처음으로 선보였다고 18일 밝혔다.
이름은 ‘스마트 배터리 가방’이라고 붙였다.
장택순 사장은 “일반 ‘파워뱅크’는 60암페어(A) 용량 충전 시 30시간 정도 걸린다”며 “우리 제품은 12V 기준 60A 용량을 2시간 30분이면 완충할 수 있는 획기적인 제품”이라고 강조했다.
무게도 훨씬 가볍다. 기존 납축전지를 채용한 제품의 30% 정도에 불과해 휴대성을 크게 높였다.
또 특허 출원한 인공지능 소프트웨어를 내장해 내부에 고온 등 이상 발생 시 스스로 출력을 차단한다. MC계열 칩인 MCU도 장착해 배터리 사용 가능 시간과 충전 예상 시간을 알려준다.
5단계로 밝기를 조절할 수 있는 최대 10와트(W)의 LED등을 달아 야간 야외에서 별도 조명(랜턴) 없이 사용할 수 있도록 했다. LED등은 연속 최대 200시간 사용이 가능하다.
USB 포트도 4개 갖춰 스마트폰 등을 야외에서 간편히 충전할 수 있다.
두 개의 시가잭과 함께 산업현장에서 전원장치로 사용할 수 있는 ‘바인딩포스트’도 두 개 갖췄다. 바인딩포스트는 한 번에 최대 450W 전기를 제공한다.
완전 밀폐형 알루미늄 방열케이스로 외관을 제작해 열 방출이 빠르고 벌레는 물론 물?모래가 쉽게 내부로 들어가지 못하게 했다.
배터리 용량에 따라 고급형(900~1200Wh)과 보급형(400~600Wh) 두 종류가 있다. 고급형은 10Wh 일반 스마트폰 기준 약 100회, 노트북은 60회가량 충전할 수 있다. 무게는 보급형이 3.7~5.5㎏, 고급형은 8.5~9.8㎏이다.
장택순 사장은 “조만간 대형 백화점 한 곳에 납품할 계획”이라며 “인버터를 내장한 고기능의 새로운 제품도 다음 달 초 내놓을 예정”이라고 밝혔다.
