eBay Korea (CEO Park Joo-mann) said on December 27 that it would develop “ePantos (www.epantos.com),” a new concept delivery service that supports exemplary domestic SMEs’ overseas sales push, jointly with Pantos Logistics (CEO Bae Jae-hoon), and launch the service early January of next year.

The new delivery service will be offered at a price up to 50 percent cheaper than the express mail service (EMS) which provides premium services including delivery tracking. In particular, it will come in handy for the sellers of products such as small-size home appliances which are sent in small packages in large quantities.

The service can be delivered within 7 days to 10 days in major locations such as the US and Europe, which are short compared to the existing service which takes some 14 days to deliver small-packaged goods to such destinations. The new delivery not only allows for advance online reception but also a customer visit to recover the product. Also it enables sellers to print at home a label detailing delivery information and provides them with delivery information via delivery tracking.

The service will be available in 11 countries including the US, UK, Germany, and Australia. It will be offered more widely down the line.
