Estsoft (CEO Kim Jang-jung) announced on April 6 that its program ALYac ranked first on the free computer vaccine list of the Vector (www.vector.co.jp), one of the most visited software download websites in Japan.

The company released the paid and free versions of the program in Japan on March 13. Two weeks later, the latter topped the chart there while the vaccine program itself took the second spot in the overall rankings. Local users are praising the fast scanning speed, compatibility with low- as well as high-specification PCs, convenient and intuitive user interface, high virus detection performance, etc.

The outstanding track record is expected to result in some synergy with the Android version of ALYac. Since launched in December 2010, it has been downloaded by over seven million users in 55 countries. Japanese Android phone users are showing a positive response to it, too.
