Isilon Korea said on February 14 that it launches the Isilon X series, a series of storages for the next generation data centers. The X series is a cluster type storage system supporting a capacity of 1.6PB and a transmission of 10GB in a second. The company said such a remarkable performance and capacity make the series more than 100 times as scalable and 20 times as good as the existing SAN and NAS storage systems. The new product is already proved its connectivity to the existing solutions like Cisco, Intel, ColdWatt, Mellanox Technology, Riverbed and VMWare so that it can be adopted directly to build up the next generation virtual data centers.President Kim Sung-hee of Isilon Systems Korea said, “Major data centers are evolving as they chose the super-speed networking and super-speed virtualization computing solutions. Our X-series is appropriate for building up the next generation data center since it features the best performance and scalability enough to solve the bottle neck problem of the existing storages.”Isilon Systems Korea, established in 2006, is a KRW 6 to 7 billion’s worth company. It plans to mark KRW 10 billion in revenue by enhancing its marketing activities targeting manufacturing companies, the education institutions and the public institutions.
