Samsung Group decided to adopt mySingle 5.0, a Enterprise Portal or EP first with Samsung EDS, and then to expand its use into the group as a whole by August. With mySingle which also provides a blog function, Samsung became the first conglomerate, opening a corporate blog ear.  On June 24th, Samsung announced that under the plan, Samsung SDS went through a pilot period of mySingle 5.0 from the end of last year and at present about 7,600 employees and executives are using the commercialized service. ‘mySingle 5.0’ provides an individual blog function, which can activate a sharing culture within the Group and also substantially improve users’ accessibility by applying SOA and Web 2.0, two latest technologies.  “mySingle 5.0 simplifies the main page but makes it more effective, allowing users to have an effective access to diverse contents. In particular it offers easier access to related information for cooperation between group subsidiaries and manage those data effectively” said one official of Samsung SDS. The number of mySingle users reach 0.25 daily while the volume of daily email and visits is 15 million and 1.2 hits respectively.
