IT service management providers such as HP Korea, CA Korea and BMC Software Korea are poised to launch ITSM experience programs for potential customers, allowing business users to experience operations and effects of systems in person.
CA Korea plans to introduce simulation game "Apollo 13" with scenario that the shipwrecked spacecraft cooperates with the command control for a journey back home. Users can experience ITIL concept and ITIL best practices, and the system is expected to be introduced in the second half of this year.
BMC Software Korea plans to host the "Airport" simulation event on June 21 and 22, in which users can solve problems at the control tower by using ITSM components.
HP Korea, which launched its first simulation game in 2004, is also poised to roll out the "F-1 Race" simulation.
"Due to complexity of ITSM, customers have difficulties understanding technological data," said Kim Yong-dae, CEO of CA Korea. "We expect simulation to help customers to better understand ITIL and learn how to boost efficiencies before adoption of ITSM."
