BH Flex (http://www.bhflex.co.kr), a flexible printed circuit board (PCB) maker, aims to raise 83 billion won (approximately 83 million dollars) in sales this year, a rise of more than 100% from last year.

To this end, BH Flex is under construction of a new flexible PCB line with a monthly production capacity of 25,000㎡. It will start operation of the new processing line next month.

The flexible PCB maker also established a joint venture flexible PCB firm with TCL Group of China `TCL-BH Precision Circuit Company`, which is now building a plant in Huizhou, China. The joint venture firm plans to start assembling and packaging semi-finished products next month at its plant, and then begin operating all processes in July this year. The joint venture firm intends to supply flexible PCBs to local market worth some 500 billion won a year.

"Besides sales at the joint venture, BH Flex expects to supply its flexible PCBs to TCL Group in value of several hundred billion won in the future. We will expand joint venture investments to other strategic regions such as Japan, the United States and India," said Lee Gyeong-hwan, CEO of BH Flex.

BH Flex also intends to branch out into small LCD module manufacturing and surface mounting technology service market via a new subsidiary.

"Being recognized as a supplier of quality flexible PCBs by electronic appliance affiliates of Samsung and LG Group, the company will rise as the top flexible PCB maker in Korea in 4 or 5 years to come," said Lee.
