Ahnlan announced on Nov 10 that it has agreed with Japanese NEC to provide its vaccine software `V3.` Exported products will be bundled with NEC`s Internet access device, Aterm.

Aterm takes 75% of the local Internet access device market in Japan and its maker is estimated to sell more than 3m units next year. The domestic vaccine developer will provide the 100-day limited version of V3 for bundling with Aterm for the next one year, starting from Nov 10.

And for those who want to separately buy the vaccine program, the company will provide the software at about ¥2,000. It also plans joint marketing with a local software distributor NEC InterChannel and the largest Japanese portal site NEC`s Biglobe to grab 10 to 20% of the NEC customers for its local sales base. And the annual export amount is estimated to reach $5m to $10m.

"The export deal bears significance in that we have been recognized for technological competitiveness through benchmarking tests with global vaccine suppliers such as Simantech, Trend and Mcapi," said Hwang Hyo-hyeon, manger of overseas business unit.

"We expect to reap much more profits over time since Japanese tend to buy software after using bundle products," he added.
