Google is set to foster Google Plus, a social network service (SNS).
According to Tech Airless on the 14th, Google has taken over an online survey platform ‘Polar.’
Polar is a survey service provider founded in 2012 by Luke Wroblewski who is well known as a mobile design expert. Over the last eight months, more than 500 million people participated in Polar’s survey. This month alone, as many as 1.1 million people participated in the survey.
Luke Wroblewski, the founder of Polar, made Polar succeed by focusing on mobile design. Polar is evaluated to provide an excellent mobile graphics design survey platform. Wroblewski also worked as a senior designer at Yahoo.
The industry predicts that Google will foster Google Plus using Polar’s human resources. As Google Plus is yet to receive much response, Google has set up a strategy to attract users by adding a mobile survey website to Google Plus.

구글, 구글플러스 키우기 위해 `폴라` 인수
구글이 소셜네트워크서비스(SNS) 구글플러스 육성에 힘을 쏟는다.
14일 테크에어리스에 따르면 구글은 온라인 설문조사 플랫폼 기업 ‘폴라(Polar)’를 인수했다.
폴라는 모바일 디자인 전문가로 잘 알려진 루크 로블르스키가 지난 2012년 창업한 설문조사 서비스 업체다. 지난 8개월동안 폴라로 설문조사에 참여한 이용자는 5억명이 넘는다. 이달 설문조사에 참여한 사람만도 110만명에 이른다.
폴라의 창업자인 루크 로블르스키는 모바일 중심의 디자인에 주력해 폴라를 성공시켰다. 폴라는 매우 뛰어난 모바일 그래픽 디자인 설문조사 플랫폼을 제공한다는 평을 받고 있다. 그는 야후에서 수석 디자이너로 재직하기도 했다.
업계는 구글이 폴라 인력을 활용해 구글플러스를 키울 것으로 예측했다. 구글플러스가 아직까지 많은 호응을 받지 못하자 구글플러스에 모바일 중심의 설문조사 사이트를 추가해 이용자를 끌어들인다는 전략이다.
