“Naver Cloud provides 207 services, making it the most diverse domestic cloud service provider (CSP). It is the only company in South Korea that has core technologies for global-level hyperscale clouds.”
Sang-Young Han, Managing Director and Chief Planning Officer (CPO) of Naver Cloud, gave a presentation on the topic of 'Naver Cloud Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data, and Cloud for Successful Digital Transformation (DX)' at the CIO Breakfast Seminar, which was hosted by ET News, on the 16th.
Managing director Han, who believes that the reason for the success of the cloud is because it provides services that companies need, said, “Naver Cloud strives to provide customers with a diverse portfolio, and provides more than 200 solutions to solve problems."
Naver Cloud introduced that it has the largest service lineup, from Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) to Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS), so that customers can experience the various steps of cloud.
“In order to stably provide large-scale cloud services, we plan to build the world’s largest hyperscale data center, from a single company, and use it for real-world services from next year,” said Managing director Han, further adding, "We plan to introduce a mini data center for customers as well."
Managing director Han explained that by using Naver Cloud, you can expand your business using Naver’s advanced technologies such as Naver Works, CLOVA AI technology, data analysis, search engine, and video. Naver Cloud is also introducing an AI tool based on 'HYPER CLOVA', a super-scale AI language model, as a cloud.
Managing director Han said, “Naver Cloud's role is to provide cutting-edge technology that is difficult for individual companies to do directly as a service in the cloud, and to help customers innovate with the provided technology."
Managing director Han also suggested the criteria for selecting a cloud service provider. According to Han, the cloud serves as a substitute for a company's computer room, so it is necessary to select a proven and reliable cloud provider. Managing Director Han said, “Naver Cloud has only been in business for five years, but it has established itself as the second largest in domestic market share, and has placed in the top three cloud platforms preferred by developers," and, “We are not staying complacent, we are strengthening our competitiveness by reinforcing our strategy to expand our overseas base and expand our global reach."
The security is also of the highest level, with domestic and foreign security certifications, so that customers can minimize the effort they put into security verification when expanding their business.
Naver Cloud will actively challenge the global market from this year. Managing Director Han said, “We have secured a global network, with global data centers in 10 regions around the world," adding, "We are preparing to enter the market in Southeast Asia and Japan. If domestic customers use us as partners, they will greatly benefit even when we enter the global market.”
