LG Electronics announced on February 28 that the company is currently operating a “LG CLOi BarastaBot” and two “LG CLOi ServeBots” at its LG BEST SHOP located in Seocho-gu.
The LG CLOi BarastaBot is located on the first floor of the shop and it makes coffees for visitors. The robot has obtained a “robot brewing master” license and it always makes coffees with coffee bean’s unique flavor and rich aroma consistently.
The two LG CLOi ServeBots are currently operating on the second and third floor of the shop. They roam around the floors with brochures and snacks and provide necessary items to customers.
LG Electronics plans to introduce its LG CLOi bots at other major BEST SHOPs in South Korea.
The company sees robots as one of key businesses in the future. It focuses on robots that can be easily accessibly in daily life and it plans to develop customized solutions for hospitals, hotels, and the food and beverage industry.
