11 government departments and 17 supervising agencies will work together to promote startup companies founded by young men and women.
Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS, Minister Hong Jong-hak) announced that it will be holding an agreement ceremony at DreamPlus Gangnam on the 5th.
Directors in charge from 11 departments will attend the ceremony and share information on how to effectively push Preliminary Startup Package project and policies on startup companies.
Preliminary Startup Package project provides up to $88,000 (100 million KRW) to a person who is under 39 years old and is preparing to establish a startup company so that he or she can smoothly prepare founding process.

Ministry of Science and ICT (Artificial Intelligence), Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (tourism), Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality, new material, new energy industry, intelligent robot, IoT (Internet of Things), Ministry of Health and Welfare (Smart Healthcare), Ministry of Environment (Smart City), Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport (Smart City, self-driving), Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (new energy industry, new maritime material), Financial Services Commission (FSC), Korea Forest Service (Smart Farm), and Korean Intellectual Property Office (Big Data, Smart City) are planning to recruit 400 young preliminary founders.
“We are planning to promote young preliminary founders in The Fourth Industrial Revolution field by utilizing abilities that are specialized to each department.” said Department Head Seok Jong-hoon of MSS’ Startup Venture Innovation Department. “We are going to strengthen cooperation between relevant departments to support young founders with innovative materials.”
Recruitment will take place at 17 supervising agencies from the 8th of April until 6 P.M. of the 7th of May.
Preliminary founders that are looking to apply can select a supervising agency through K-Startup and apply.
