Hanwha Investment & Securities established financial investment industry’s first subsidiary that specializes in analysis of Big Data.
Hanwha Investment & Securities held an opening ceremony of Data Analytics Lab, which is its subsidiary specializing in analysis of Big Data.
Data Analytics Lab was established after Hanwha Investment & Securities invested $8.92 million (10 billion KRW). This is the first time when a financial investment business established a subsidiary just for analysis of Big Data.

Its major focus will be consulting on Big Data, enhancement of non-face-to-face channels through analysis and utilization of Big Data, and offering of differentiated and personalized contents and investment information.
Hanwha Investment & Securities hired former Meister Jang Seok-ho of BC Card, who is an expert and has many experiences in Big Data, as the first director of Data Analytics Lab to lead Smart Finance industry. Its goal is to create synergy through strategic partnership, cooperation with startups, and academic-industrial cooperation by hiring additional personnel specializing in analysis of Big Data and AI (Artificial Intelligence).
