Number of downloads of a mobile application of a cryptocurrency exchange called Bithumb surpassed 3 million in just 6 months. Followed by last month, Bithumb achieved the highest number of downloads of an application in April as well compared to other cryptocurrency exchanges in South Korea.
Bithumb announced that number of downloads of its application was 3,018,989 by the end of the 23rd. Starting from the 27th of September of 2017 until the 23rd of this month, number of downloads of its application from Google Play was 2,413,074. At the same time, number of downloads of its application from iOS from the 5th of December of 2017 until the 21st of this month was 605,915.
In just half of a year, number of downloads of its application surpassed 3 million. Excluding few game applications that are extremely popular, it is very rare to see an application from a field of finance or distribution record such number of downloads in just 6 months.
Bithumb’s application is firmly maintaining its lead in number of downloads. According to a global mobile application analysis company called AppAnnie, Bithumb’s application recorded 71,115 cases of downloads and beat out other cryptocurrency exchanges’ applications. During the same period, its biggest competitor only recorded 54,534 cases of downloads. Bithumb’s application is still maintaining its lead even in April. Its application recorded 37,895 cases of downloads between 1st and the 19th of this month while its competitor’s application recorded 21,637 cases of downloads.
Bithumb was also placed first place when it came to number of visitors of an exchange’s website. According to a report from Rankey, which is a site that ranks websites, there were 1,244,096 visits to Bithumb’s website between the 11th of March and the 14th of April. This number of visits was far greater than that of websites from other exchanges. During the same period, its biggest competitor only recorded 610,175 visits to its website. Other exchanges did not even record 300,000 visits to their websites.
Bithumb’s application is receiving high praises from its users from aspects of stable trade and convenient investment as it continues to improve level of convenience through charts, improvement in asking price window, lock screen and widgets.
“Secret of our application’s popularity is that we continue to make improvements with our customers at the center such as improving level of convenience of our mobile exchanges and adding real-time chart that provides information in 3D.” said a representative for Bithumb. “We are going to make sure that our members can safely make trades by listing cryptocurrencies after careful selections.”
