It has been officially verified that Samsung Electronics is going to announce its new tablet at MWC 2017.
Samsung Electronics is going to hold an event for its new product in Barcelona on the 26th of February (Spain time) and introduce its next tablet called ‘Galaxy Tab S3’ for the first time. This new tablet will be the next model of Galaxy Tab S2 that was released in South Korea in August of 2015.
Samsung Electronics’ plan is to draw attention from other people with Galaxy Tab S3 at MWC 2017 and is not going to announce its next Smartphone called Galaxy S8.
Galaxy Tab S3 will be divided into LTE model (SM-T820) and Wi-Fi model (SM-T825). It will be equipped with 9.6-inch (2048x1536) display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset, and 12-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera. It will also be equipped with 4GB RAM which is an upgrade from its previous model that had 3GB RAM and will be running under an operating system called Android 7.0 (Nougat).
Samsung Electronics emphasized portability of Galaxy Tab S3 by making it 5.6mm thinner than its previous model. In order to launch this product, it completed verification process for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi in early January. Galaxy Tab S3 will be launched in South Korea sometime during March and it is likely that it will cost around $607 (700,000 KRW).
“We are planning to distribute invitation for our event that will be held at MWC 2017 through global media sometime this week.” said a representative for Samsung Electronics.
