Genieworks (CEO Lee Ang) is growing fast as an automotive O2O (Online to Offline) service company that not only specializes in valet parking, consignment, and chauffer service but also car washing outcall service that does not require water.
Geniworks launched ‘Parking On’ service, which is a car wash service that does not require water, for online customers on the 12th.
This service is composed of cleaning of glass, removal of contaminants, cleaning of wheels, detailing of cracks and crevices, and vacuuming of a trunk and it also provides additional services such as steam sterilization of inside of a car, premium coating wax, and removal of oil films.
Genieworks is providing valet parking, consignment, and chauffer service through its automotive service application called ‘Parking On’. Car wash service will also be provided through this application starting from next year. Genieworks is currently providing car wash service only in Seoul and is planning to provide it in other parts of South Korea sequentially.
Users of Parking On can use services such as parking, valet parking, car wash, and filling of gas at the same time. Genieworks is carrying out an event that allows people to use its car wash service free for one time to commemorate launching of car wash O2O service. It is going to add light repair O2O services during first half of next year and is planning to provide comprehensive automotive services.

Genieworks, which is a start-up company composed of people who used to work for SK Telecom and Samsung Electronics, was established in June of 2015. It is currently providing comprehensive premium service called ‘Parking On’ and game-based advertising and commercial service called ‘Buy Chance’. In August of this year, it was able to attract $1.72 million (2 billion KRW) of investment from Samsung Venture Investment Corporation and Nau IB Capital.
Genieworks has attracted attention by starting O2O by utilizing IT. It has established its own Big Data analysis platform in order to provide personalized services according to tendency of customers and allocation of parking lots according to traffic conditions. Not only does it use outside companies for operation of its offline services but it also uses its own employees at the same time and was able to secure service delivery chain early on.
Based on these capabilities, Genieworks is also carrying out a pilot project that provides automotive concierge services through its partnership with big automotive manufacturers.
“Genieworks has a desire to become a powerhouse in this industry through ‘platform play’.” said CEO Lee Ang. “We are going to continuously build up our capabilities in analyzing Big Data in order to secure differentiated capabilities and to grow continuously and establish an ecosystem for service operation and we want to contribute in helping this entire market to grow.”
