Establishment of tax information system in Laos is one of 12 major national data processing tax system tasks. Comprehensive data management does not take place in Laos due to nonexistence of systematized tax administration management system. It is impossible for Laotian Government to calculate exact statistics as it processes tasks on tax manually.
LG CNS is going to finish up computerizing tax administration task by 2020. LG CNS was able to win an order from Laotian Government by having experiences in establishing comprehensive national tax system for South Korean Government and finance system for Indonesian Government.
LG CNS also won an order from Uzbekistan Government that is worth $13.6 million (15.9 billion KRW) for establishing national geographical information system. Uzbekistan’s public information-oriented project was regularized after joint-corporation was established in Uzbekistan in 2015. This joint-corporation established electronic government systems such as comprehensive platforms, database, and electronic library systems. LG CNS is also going to prepare to win orders from Middle Eastern countries such as Bahrain.
“We are going to establish electronic government system for countries in order to increase work efficiency and pass down experiences of South Korea’s capabilities in IT.” said CEO Kim Young-seop of LG CNS. While percentage of sales from foreign countries was only 10% in 2010, percentage in this year has increased to 20%.
