Parking Cloud (CEO Shin Sang-yong) is launching a valet service for charging electric vehicles in this December.
It is an O2O service that charges electric vehicles while they are parked when drivers valet their vehicles through mobile devices. Parking Cloud is planning to expand O2O service regarding vehicles such as charging of electric vehicles while providing names and payments of parking structures through mobile devices and valet service.
Parking Cloud started in 2009 as a parking business such as consulting for parking structures and a wholesaler. In developed Smart parking solution called ‘iParking’ in 2014 and expanded its business towards IT field based on offline parking business. iParking is a solution that supports variety of services and includes ‘Parking Pass’ service that automatically recognizes vehicles when they enter and exit parking structures and processes parking fees once vehicles leave parking structures. Parking Cloud also released ‘iParking’ application, which allows drivers to search and make reservations for nearby parking structures and pay parking fees, for drivers recently. Parking Cloud recently added ‘iParking Valet Service’ that calls valet drivers to pick up drivers and park their vehicles.

Parking Cloud is going to test beta-version of valet service in November and is going to start actual service in December. Starting with Gangnam that provides valet service, it is going to slowly expand its business towards popular places such as Hongdae and Itaewon that lack parking structures.
Parking Cloud also has a service that charges and washes electric vehicles ready once customers who drive electric vehicles park their vehicles at iParking valet zone.
Parking Cloud is also going to expand charging facilities for electric vehicles at parking structures. It is currently working with local governments to bring in charging facilities to public parking structures that are providing iParking service. Currently Parking Cloud is providing its service at public parking structures that are located in Goyang-si and Gangnam-gu.
