Republicans and democrats chose ‘LG OLED TV’ as official TVs for their national conventions.
According to LG Electronics on the 3rd, ‘LG Ultra OLED TV’ was chosen as official TV for republican’s national convention and democrat’s national convention that were held last month.
LG Electronics was chosen by both parties as the official supplier of 4K Ultra HD TV. As the official supplier, it supplied Ultra OLED TVs and Ultra HD TVs to democrat’s national convention that was held at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia in last week and republican’s national convention that was held at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland prior to democrat’s national convention. LG Electronics supplied more than 600 4K TVs and displays by supplying more than 300 of them to each national convention and installed them at different places of national conventions.
Especially its Ultra OLED TVs were also set up at media centers of each national convention and were introduced to thousands of reporters that were present at national conventions.
50,000 of popular personnel such as politicians, reporters, celebrities and others came to each national convention. LG OLED TVs were set up at VIP rooms, media rooms and others and showed results of interviews, analysis of approval rating and others. LG OLED TVs were praised for clearly showing small changes of important data and vivid expressions of interviewees.
National convention is chosen as one of broadcasting programs that has a huge impact in the U.S. More than 30 million people throughout the U.S. watched speech of presidential candidates on the last day of national convention of each party.
Not only did recognition of LG’s brand increased by being chosen as the official supporter of one of America’s greatest events but public relation effect of LG OLED TV was also huge.
“We feel very prideful to be selected as the official supplier of TVs for national conventions of republican and democrat.” said Vice-President John Taylor of LG Electronics’ North America Corporate.
“Household appliances had played roles that were not present at previous national conventions.” said Chief Technologist Tom Campbell of national convention. “LG OLED TVs had carried out important roles of delivering images and information to participants and medias of national conventions.”
LG Electronics has many relationships with American national conventions. In 2012, it supplied TVs to national conventions of democrat and republican that were set up to select next president candidates before presidential election takes place. Prior to this, LG Electronics was also selected as the official supplier of HD TVs for national conventions of democrat and republican during 2008 presidential election.
