APP (CEO Kang Bang-kwon), which is a business that specializes in atmospheric plasma equipment, is working on establishing a business culture that will provide employees with surroundings that will enable them to work more happily. Although it is a small company that is sensitive to changes in economy, its goal is to establish a business where employees can enjoy their work without any anxiety ever since it has confirmed its existence in industries.
APP made an announcement on the 1st that it recently started a management consulting and innovating business culture by increasing number of opportunities of conversations with employees, recognizing rampant problems within its business, and reestablishing any unclear roles.
Management consulting understood any difficulties through counseling or questioning employees’ current feelings and is working on preparing practical solutions and communications that will increase level of satisfaction for employees.
APP has established a mission that says that APP is a business that creates a value of 10 dollars from a technology of 1 dollar value and uses 10 dollars to make it worth of 100 dollars. Its mission has company’s intentions to increase value of its technologies through continuous development of technologies and to effectively use profits along with employees rather than just pouring burdens on employees. APP has decided to have continuous communications and educations with employees as practical solutions.

To have a better communication, APP has lowered height of dividers from 120cm to 110cm. By lowering just 10cm, APP has created an open space where employees can easily look at each other and have communications.
APP has reorganized groups such as research institutes, manufacturing departments, financial departments and others that used to operate without any principles as teams. It has created manufacturing team, research team, financial supporting team, and marketing team and rearranged positions so that employees can focus on their assigned tasks with team leaders at the center.
While having continuous conversations, it is planning to develop its understandings on employees systematically so that it can correct its business culture. It is also going to hold educations that will help employees to become experts in their fields by strengthening their capabilities.
APP is also preparing list of required readings that will be shared by all employees. It is planning to furnish these books, which will be based on business cultures and related fields, so that all employees can read them.
“I already implemented this innovation officially even before company building was built in last March. I realized that sharing understandings with my employees is very important.” said President Kang Bang-kwon. “APP is going to become a totally different company in 3 to 5 years.”
