Samsung Electronics is going to release Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge on the 11th. Store prices of Galaxy S7 32GB and Galaxy S7 64GB are going to be$694 (836,000 KRW) and $730 (880,000 KRW) respectively while store prices of Galaxy S7 Edge 32GB and Galaxy S7 Edge 64GB are going to be $767 (924,000 KRW) and $803 (968,000 KRW) respectively. Through Galaxy S7, Samsung Electronics are trying to increase level of perfection of Smartphone and to provide variety of user experience (UX).

Samsung Electronics had held Media day at Hotel Shilla in Seoul on the 10th and let South Koreans know about release of Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge in South Korea. Samsung Electronics reduced store prices of Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge from store prices of Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge by about $16.6 to $41.5 (20,000 KRW to 50,000 KRW). If one receives funding from a mobile telecommunication business, he or she can purchase Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge for $415 or up to $581 (500,000 KRW to 700,000 KRW). However it has improved functions such as games, camera and others that are provided even more.

Performance of Galaxy S7’s camera has definitely improved from Galaxy S6’s camera. For the first time in the world, Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are going to have Dual-Pixel’ Image Sensor, which is mostly used for finest DSLR Cameras. Also because both front and rear-cameras have lenses with aperture value of F1.7, pictures or videos can be taken very clearly even at night.

‘Selfie Flash’, which uses screen of Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge as flash, makes quality of selfies more beautiful. Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are also going to have functions such as ‘Motion Panorama’ that records even movements of subjects during a panorama shot, ‘Hyper Labs’ that compresses videos into shorter lengths and others so that consumers can take pictures or record videos like professionals.

In hardware aspect, re-installment of a slot for Micro SD is receiving most attention as it can increase storage capacity by up to 200GB. Battery capacity of Galaxy S7 is also increased by 400mAh compared to battery capacity of Galaxy S6. To this, Samsung Electronics has added more convenience by adding wired and wireless fast charging ability.

Samsung Electronics has also reinforced gaming functions. Galaxy S7 has Vulkan, which is API (Application Programming Interface) for next-generation graphic standards so that one can enjoy games vividly like he or she is playing games on PCs, game launcher, and game tools function. This is a special service that is optimized for games.

SamsungPay service is also going to be reinforced. Samsung Electronics had increased number of partnerships with major credit card companies, online shopping malls, and payment agencies according to the release date of Galaxy S7 in South Korea. ATM service, which was only possible at Woori Bank, will now be available at Shinhan Bank, Hana Bank, Industrial Bank of Korea, and Nonghyup Bank.

“I had pondered about what are the innovations that consumers truly want and we had worked to implement those innovations through Galaxy S7.” said President Ko Dong-jin of Samsung Electronics’ Wireless Business Department. “We are going to provide comprehensive experiences and values through variety of products, contents, and services that surround Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge.”

Samsung Electronics is going to give out ‘Galaxy Game Pack’, which allows one to enjoy game contents that are worth about $249 (300,000 KRW), to customers who purchase Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. It has also prepared variety of events such as ‘Love Mark Campaign’ and others where consumers can directly participate.
