Pantech is going to participate in MWC 2016, which is the world’s biggest mobile exhibition that is held in Barcelona on the 22nd this year and is planning to introduce small amount of devices that are related to IoT. Instead of setting up a booth with a name of Pantech, CEO Jung Joon of Pantech, who is also serving as the CEO of Solid, is going to introduce devices such as modules, routers and others that are related to IoT at ‘Solid’ booth.
It is heard that only few Pantech personnel such as department heads and team leaders that are related to IoT devices are going to attend MWC 2016. President Moon Ji-wook of Pantech is not going to attend this exhibition. “It has been 5 years since Pantech last set up a booth at MWC.” said a representative for this industry. “It is meaningful that Pantech is introducing new IoT products instead of Smartphones.”
