LG Electronics made an announcement on the 14th that it is going to introduce a new neckband Bluetooth headset tone plus product called ‘HBS-1100’ at MWC 2016.

HBS-1100 has a sound technology called ‘Harman Kardon’ through a technical partnership with Harman International from the U.S. It has received ‘Harman Kardon Platinum’, which is the highest level of sound that is certified by Harman. It also has ‘Balanced Amateur Unit’ module that is used for high-qualification wired earphones.

This product has applied ‘Qualcomm aptX HD’ codec onto its Bluetooth headset for the first time in the world and enables users to listen to Hi-Fi sound source that surpassed CD quality (16 bits) by sending 24-bit sound source without any loss by wireless.

Its exterior has a metallic material and an earphone and its sides are done by curved metal that is manufactured through ‘Diamond Cutting’ process.

It also has ‘Voice Command’ function that enables users to receive or reject a call with his or her voice and without any button controls. By having a dual-microphone that has a function to eliminate noise, it enables users to make a call with clear sound quality even he or she is in an environment where there is heavy noise.

Starting with the U.S. in March, this product is going to be released in South Korea, Europe, Central and South America, Asia and others sequentially. It has 4 colors of black, gold, silver, and gray.

“Tone Plus series is a product that integrates premium sound technical skills and will provide new level of sound experience that surpasses limitations of Bluetooth headsets.” said Park Hyung-woo (Executive) who is in charge of LG Electronics’ IPD BD. “We are going to solidify our leadership in global markets by continuously putting out sound performance and design that are differentiated from others.”
