CPO Jeff Drobick of Tapjoy sent e-mail to all branches in last May saying that he wants major engineers including CEO Lee to join its headquarter. Jeff Drobick persuaded them that cooperation between members needs to be more improved as fast speed and correspondence are necessary as market is changing very rapidly.

Headquarter promised full support for various situations needed for moving as well as their family members. It is scheduled that 5rocks in Korea will be led by Vice-President Lee Ki Ho.

Tapjoy decided to invest last year in 5rocks’ mobile analysis technology level and bought 100% of its company. It received lots of attention as being an example of foreign sales that was worth 10s of million dollars as there aren’t that many examples of Korean startups being bought by global companies.

5rocks led development of new technology to global R&D laboratory as CEO Lee also held headquarters’ vice-president that oversaw analysis. In last March, it also announced converged service tool that predicts mobile users’ behavior patterns.

“Response to converged service that was announced in March is very positive. As we started 5rocks business in 2012, our goal of entering American and European markets came even faster after we merged with Tapjoy. I think that having 5rocks development team join headquarters in San Francisco will be a start of achieving another one of our dreams as it can be interpreted as Tapjoy wanting to make the best service using our technologies.” CEO Lee Chang Soo said that merging with Tapjoy provided many ways for 5rocks to achieve its dreams.
