As Samsung Electronics puts out ‘SUHD TV’ model that is worth about 1,775 dollars (2 million KRW), it is spurring in preoccupying premium market. It is done by so-called ‘Masstige’ strategy that increases quality while making the price reasonable.
Samsung Electronics is showing SUHD TV’s new product called JS7200 for the first time in Korean market on the 3rd and sequentially releasing it to foreign markets in July.
By releasing JS7200, Samsung Electronics is spurring itself into preoccupying premium TV market and expanding supply of SUHD TVs.
By adding JS7200 (7 series, 50/55/60-inch), previous product group of SUHD TV (8,9 series, 55/65/78/82/88-inch) becomes more diverse, and number of models increased from 8 to 11.
It decreased its price at most 30% compared to previous SUHD TV. It is hoping that it will satisfy customers who want reasonable prices and best high-definition by releasing products that are worth about 1,775 dollars.
By applying nano-crystal technology that Samsung created on its own onto SUHD TV JS7200, Samsung Electronics made it so that one can feel natural colors untouched. Nano-crystal, which has a thickness of a billionth of a meter and is a fine nano-particle, expresses accurate and wide color area by leaving colors only with high purity.By making bright places brighter and dark places darker, JS7200 is supporting HDR (High Dynamic Range) contents, which makes things be viewed like one is seeing with real eyes, without any distortions.
Customers can now experience developed Smart TV experiences such as intuitive user interface which users instantly react and Smart Hub where one can find contents such as ‘recommended contents’ and ‘recent contents’ that is provided by Tizen platform.
“We are able to expand range of consumers’ choice by expanding SUHD TV product group such as reasonable-priced JS7200. We are going to continuously focus on providing high-definition SUHD TV that is at different level to more customers.” President Kim Hyun Seok of Samsung Electronics said about the effects of JS7200 and its future plan on SUHD TV.
