Galaxy S6 will have Digital Media Broadcasting (DMB) feature installed.
According to the Samsung Electronics on the 5th, strategy smartphone 117 that is to be released on the 10th, Galaxy S6, and Galaxy S6 Edge will all have DMB feature.
Samsung related official said, “We have decided to put DMB into Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. It is only applied to South Korea and Japan.”
It uses earphone as antenna and got rid of the exterior antenna.
The industry believes Samsung Electronics put DMB feature in because many customers favor DMB service, watching pro baseball and etc.
Samsung Electronics priced the phone with DMB same or even lower than the exporting price.
Usually mobile phone with DMB feature has higher price. It is because the part that allows the function costs more. This shows one of Samsung’s strategy against other smartphone companies such as Apple.
There were controversies of putting in DMB feature after Galaxy S6 had been revealed for the 1st time in Mobile World Congress 2015 last month.
