On the 19th, HANMI Semiconductor announced that it had opened a 'micro SAW' R&D center at its headquarters in Seo-gu, Incheon.
The R&D center is a cutting-edge research facility for the development of micro SAW products. Construction for the R&D center began in the second half of last year, and was recently completed. It consists of 9 laboratories. HANMI Semiconductor plans to use the R&D center as a research facility that can test customer demands.
HANMI Semiconductor first domestically produced the micro SAW products last June, and has released a total of 6 models since. The company provides a two-year warranty for all micro SAW products.
An official from HANMI Semiconductor said, “We expect the micro SAW products to be a new revenue generator with the confidence in quality of our products. With the establishment of the R&D center, HANMI Semiconductor will provide products with excellent performance that can compete with products of global leader of micro SAW market, Japan’s DISCO.”
