TmaxMetaverse signed a strategic partnership with LG Uplus to develop new services and conduct joint research on core technologies to strengthen the competitiveness of metaverse services.

TmaxMetaverse is a metaverse platform and service specialized company from Tmax Group. They have their own technology, such as a game engine and a three-dimensional (3D) production studio. They provide a connected metaverse experience across all industries such as fintech/commerce.

LG Uplus introduced U+ Virtual Office, U+ Kids Metaverse, and Moono NFT this year, and is targeting the market focusing on metaverse services for each segment.

The both companies will cooperate mainly on △ joint research and development of multiple access metaverse solutions △ developing web-based metaverse services and core technologies. It is expected to create synergy by combining TmaxMetaverse's service-infrastructure technology capabilities and LG Uplus’ differentiated service concept discovery capabilities.

Min-seok Kim, CEO of TmaxMetaverse, said, “By combining the metaverse construction technology and service capabilities of both companies, we will be able to spur the construction of a more meaningful metaverse world.”

Sang-yeop Lee, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of LG Uplus, said, “We hope that the next-generation metaverse service will be introduced sooner through cooperation between the two companies. Since both of companies are agonizing on the same core technology areas of the metaverse, we plan to actively promote joint technology research.”
