Byun joined Hancom in 2011 and has served as the CEO of Hancom since October 2019 after serving as the head of the business planning office, chief financial officer (CFO), and business division head. In recognition of his ability to contribute to Hancom's growth, he was appointed as the general manager of group operation.

New CEO Kim took over iText, a European PDF solution company, and led the successful sale after value growth. She has been in charge of Hancom Group M&A, such as the acquisition of Hancom MDS, HancomInSpace, Hancom Care Link, and Hancom Frontis. In cooperation with Amazon Web Services (AWS), she promoted overseas cloud market entry and led cooperation with domestic cloud companies such as NHN and Naver. Recently, Hancom Office cloud-based expansion was promoted by investing in Kdan, the world's No. 1 mobile PDF company and Taiwanese software as a service (SaaS) company.

CEO Kim, the eldest daughter of Hancom Group Chairman Sang-cheol Kim, took over a 50 billion won stake in Hancom in May through HCIH, where she is the CEO. Currently, HCIH is the second-largest shareholder with a 10% stake in Hancom.

Hancom's strategy is to contribute to accelerating the growth of the Hancom Group by simultaneously achieving internal and external expansion through each representative system. It is also actively pursuing M&A to expand office software (SW) to cloud services and to discover new platform-based businesses.
