<Method of checking the result of cured concrete>

‘Hydration heat’ occurs during ‘curing’, which is a process of increasing strength by reducing cracks caused by concrete drying and contraction. SMARTI manages curing quality by measuring hydration heat. It measures the internal and external temperatures of concrete in real time, collects thermal energy and sum of temperature (accumulative value of temperature), estimates and provides concrete strength by time using its own algorithm. It is possible to check whether the temperature history and the estimated compressive strength are out of the normal range during abnormal concrete curing. Workers and supervisory office can monitor hydration heat anytime, anywhere and predict compressive strength, thereby preventing serious disasters.

In the construction site, wireless communication devices and sensors are installed. Because of built-in battery, it can be used for years, and since it does not require any power supply construction, it is easy to install. The communication network uses low-power wide-area(LPWA) network such as long-term evolution (LTE) Cat.M1 and LoRa. Control center can utilize cloud-based control platform or can be installed in separate place, which gives user a wide range of operation.

At the construction site, curing is managed by individually measuring the hydration heat or by tapping to measure the strength (perforating), or relying on experience. In winter, there were suffocation accidents while smoking lignite for curing concrete, which raises demands for advanced curing and safety enhancement.

As the Severe Accident Business Punishment Act (Severe Accident Act) was enforced in January of this year, the voices for thorough safety management at construction sites are higher than ever before.

Nable Communications developed SMARTI 3 years ago. It has been used for some construction site of major construction companies such as Hyundai E&C, Lotte E&C, SK ecoplant, Hanwha E&C, Taewoong E&C. They explain that some construction period got shorter when SMARTI is used compare to the method that relies on experience.
