<Recently, as digital transformation strategy has emerged as a hot topic across all industries to enhance corporate business competitiveness, SoulBrain, a mid-sized material company, has been accelerating digital innovation by introducing new IT company-wide (Photo is SoulBrain’s Seongnam Pangyo Headquarters foreground).>

Soulbrain, a mid-sized material manufacturing company, recently put out digital transformation as the top priority and built a new IT infrastructure for its full-fledged digital innovation in management, R&D, quality, etc. doubling the competitiveness of materials such as semiconductor, display, and secondary batteries in the global market.

BSG Partners (CEO Chul-wook Park, hereinafter BSG) announced on the 11th that it signed a strategic partner contract with SoulBrain for digital transformation and is focusing on supporting SoulBrain's innovation and management advances through digital DNA transplantation.

SoulBrainespecially plans to elevate the status of IT organization from the existing 'working-level' unit level to the 'division' unit level, focusing on innovating business processes and tasks using digital technology, to establish digital transformation in the field.
SoulBrain first migrated the old SAP ERP version (ECC) to the next-generation SAP S/4HANA based on an in-memory database while simultaneously transferring the entire SAP system to the AWS cloud environment. By moving all business applications to the cloud environment, it secured the agility of IT assets, operational efficiency, and scalability at the same time.

The company will also utilize intelligent applications of SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) such as Integration Suite and Fiori UI platform to implement innovative business service. By introducing 'AWS QuickSite', an interactive BI dashboard solution, SoulBrain will also enhance the business support capability of the backbone system, such as upgrading the Executive Information System (EIS), to analyze, visualize, and use data to make quick business decisions.

SoulBrain introduced cloud applications in a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) method to minimize system building and operating costs. BSG developed cloud applications, such as material history management linked with SAP and company-wide management information dashboard, based on SAP BTP, SAP Fiori, and AWS technologies and supplied them to SoulBrain.

By introducing such systems, SoulBrain is trying to prevent the recurrence of defects by identifying and analyzing problems during the manufacturing process, identifying the causes, and reflecting the data-based improvement results in the production process.

It has especially improved quality and enhanced productivity by reducing the defect rate, and by analyzing and visualizing management data in real time, it can secure the agility of decision-making when predicting and preparing for the future despite rapid environmental changes.

In addition, SAP's expense management solution 'Concur' has been introduced to integrate and manage all aspects of financial expenses, from expense processing, business trips, and tax invoice processing, to maximize the efficiency of expense management and minimize the cost caused by mistakes of working-levels.

SoulBrain also planted digital DNA in the R&D field. By introducing Rescale's cloud high-performance computing (HPC) service, it plans to build a system that significantly reduces physical time and cost by actively utilizing digital twin-based product simulation work created in on-demand for R&D activities.

Soulbrain Director Gu Min said, “Based on the will and generous support of the top management, we have confirmed that our projects so far are showing tangible results, such as enhancing our capabilities in each field. We will continue to think about how to use the new IT for management in the future.”

Dae-hyun Oh, the Executive Vice President of BSG, said, “Based on our long experience in SAP and AWS, we have built trust as a strategic partner to support innovation in SoulBrain’s company-wide business processes, including research, purchasing, production, sales, sales, and human resources. We will do our best to deliver differentiated value to customers by converging various enterprise SaaS and cloud-based infrastructure construction and operation know-how.”
