GLOSFER Japan, which is Japanese corporate of GLOSFER (CEO Kim Tae-won), was selected as the excellence project of 2018 in blockchain project field at ‘KIWAMI Project Conference’, which was recently held in Odaiba, and was awarded Block Star Top 100.
KIWAMI Project Conference is the biggest blockchain event in Japan that is held periodically by SB Human Capital, MICE/BizMICE, and Pecora for development of blockchain technologies and expansion of blockchain market.
CEO Hideshi Kubota of GLOSFER Japan explained about its local currency project while giving world’s first blockchain-based local currency set up by GLOSFER and Nowon-gu as an example.

“Just by looking at confusion brought by Bitcoin Cash hash war to markets, we can see that a concept of ‘distributed ledger equals decentralization’ is related to legal tender and mining compensation.” said CEO Hideshi. “We are at a time where we have to rethink the true meaning of distributed ledger.”
GLOSFER, a first-generation South Korean blockchain company, has many other successful cases of applying its blockchain technology to local governments’ projects such as suggestion evaluation system of Yeongdeungpo-gu and others. It has been recognized of its technical skills by winning government and public orders such as ICT-based mental health program called ‘Maeum Talk Talk’ Program, Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries’ harbor management system, Korea Music Copyright Association’s music service distribution platform.
