SK C&C (President An Jung-ok) is planning to launch ‘aiden face recognition service’ that is based on its AI (Artificial Intelligence) face recognition solution (FRS).
Strength of aiden face recognition service is the fact that it does not need installation of client software or a separate system since it is a web-based service. A person can access aiden face recognition service inside of department stores or supermarkets with CCTVs and look for a person that he or she is looking for.
Aiden face recognition service is able to recognize a face just with single picture. It converts a face inside of a picture into a 3D model and creates a virtual face from different angles. It is also able to recognize a face even when a frontal shot of a face is not available due to a person lowering his or her head.

This service is limited for public organizations and corporates and cost of the service will be between $706 and $883 (800,000 KRW and 1 million KRW) per month. To commemorate this service being launched, SK C&C is going to provide this service for free until next month. A business or an organization can use aiden face recognition service by becoming a corporate member after accessing SK C&C’s AI AIBRIL portal.
“Aiden face recognition service will be used a lot for a company’s security and marketing.” said Director Kim Joon-hwan of SK C&C’s Platform & Tech 1 Group. “We expect various corporate customers will experience aiden face recognition service and apply it to their business tasks during a free trial period.”
