Kakao blockchain project called ‘Klaytn’ made its initial service partners public on the 22nd.
Klaytn is a global public blockchain platform developed by Kakao blockchain technical subsidiary called ‘Ground X’ and it introduced its testnet on the 8th of this month.
For the field of games, Klaytn is going to be working with WEMADE TREE, which is a subsidiary of WEMADE ENTERTAINMENT. WEMADE TREE is planning to connect its IPs (Intellectual Property) that have more than 200 million users and popular games that are verified by markets to blockchain.
It is going to focus on connecting in-game contents to blockchain rather than item transactions. To implement this, it is working on issues such as processing capacity and speed.
For the field of contents, Klaytn is going to be working with Piction Network, which is a new digital contents ecosystem that directly connects writers of webtoons and web-novels with readers through blockchain technology.
Piction network is going to apply Klaytn to its webtoon platform called Battle Comics, which has more than 1 million users and 1,000 IPs.
Blockchain-based food data project called ‘HINT Chain’, which is operate by Vital Hint, will also be introduced through Klatyn. HINT Chain is a platform that recommends food services to individuals.
Hint Chain will center food industrial field, where individualization is important, on consumers by analyzing individuals’s food preference. Hint Chain draws many heads as a food infrastructure service that can be applied to every field such as restaurant, liquor store, supermarket, and food platform related to food.
Besides these, NABU Studio, AIRBLOC PROTOCOL, COSMO CHAIN, VETTA, Humanscape, and Rayon will also join become partners of Klaytn.
Klaytn is going to demonstrate its testnet on its partners and launch its mainnet sometime during the first quarter of 2019. It is planning to make additional partnership with verified companies before it launches its mainnet.
