Korea Fintech Industry Association’s Robo-Advisor Association is going to hold an industry-university forum with a topic of ‘Current Status and Direction of Robo-Advisor Industry’ at Sogang University on the 12th.
This event will look at future of robo-advisor markets, which are quickly expanding, through industrial experts who are currently working with robo-advisors and it will also look for ways to develop robo-advisor industry for the future.
Talk concert is expected to be held at this forum with presentations by CEO Jung In-young of December & Company on zeitgeist of financial investment and robo-advisor, CEO Son Sang-hyeon of SBCN on analysis of robo-advisor examples utilizing Big Data and AI (Artificial Intelligence) technology, CEO Cheon Young-rok of Doomoolmori on changes expected to be caused by robo-advisor, and Section Head Na Moon-il of SBCN on comparison to Chinese robo-advisor industry.
Robo-Advisor Association is planning to improve level of interests from South Korean citizens and continue discussions regarding policies such as relaxation of requirements for non-face-to-face transaction capital, permission for operation of retirement pension, and permission for robo-advisors on ISA (Individual Savings Account).
Robo-advisor indicates an online asset management services that manages investment portfolios through mobile devices or PCs utilizing enhanced algorithms or Big Data. Because it provides strategies on how to distribute assets without having to meet with a person face-to-face, its use is quickly expanding globally as it can provide personalized services and has low fee.
