Dunamu (CEO Lee Seok-woo), which is currently operating a cryptocurrency exchange called Upbit, introduced Upbit’s open application program interface (API) through Upbit Development Center and its homepage.
Upbit once gathered ‘Upbit open API beta-testers’ through its homepage in last month to provide APIs with higher degree of completion. Despite short recruitment period, about 500 developers had gathered during a 5-week recruitment period.

By using these APIs, developers can create various applications and programs by utilizing information on market value of coins that are listed on Upbit. It is expected that they can form various trade environments that suit characteristics of different customers and it is also expected that they will create alarm applications that provid real-time market value information.
“We know that there have been many requests and expectations from developers towards open API from Upbit.” said a representative from Upbit. “We are planning to introduce more enhanced open APIs in the future.”
Upbit’s open APIs are introduced through Upbit Development Center and its hompage and they can be used by anyone that goes through necessary procedures.
