Mirae Asset Daewoo is joining hands with FinTech and IT companies and accelerators for digital innovation.
Mirae Asset Daewoo opened a homepage of ‘Mirae Asset Digital Innovation Platform’, which is composed of FinTech Hub, FinTech Partnership Program, and Innovation Lab, on the 24th. It decided to open this platform to take a step forward towards digital innovation according to trade environments that are changing continuously.
FinTech Hub will establish a global FinTech network to discover digital innovation ideas and to support South Korean FinTech companies from going overseas and attracting investments. FinTech Hub has related organizations, accelerators, and IT companies such as Korea Fintech Industry Association, Fintech Center, Korea Financial Investment Association, Seoul-si, Korea Internet & Security Agency, Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, KOSCOM, SPARKLABS, Seoul Techno Holdings, Korea University Holdings, and KIC participating.
FinTech Partnership Program supports FinTech project references through performance of open innovation tasks. Innovation Lab is going to introduce financial services based on technologies and verify their chances of success through feedbacks before they are launched.

Mirae Asset Daewoo is going to recruit FinTech companies that will be participating in the first FinTech Partnership Program until the 18th of June and it will receive suggestions from 3 open innovation tasks such as AI (Artificial Intelligence), biometrics, and free topics. After evaluations, it is going to provide opportunities to FinTech companies with PoC (Proof of Concept) and pilot test.
FinTech companies that successfully perform tasks will receive support from Mirae Asset Daewoo with launching of their services, investments, and going global. Mirae Asset Daewoo is planning to support them with venture investments from its subsidiaries such as Mirae Asset Venture Investment and Mirae Asset Capital.
“Through Mirae Asset Digital Innovation Platform, we are planning to actively support growth of South Korean FinTech companies.” said President Kim Nam-young of Mirae Asset Daewoo’s Digital Finance Sector. “We will help them introduce various next-generation digital financial services by actively introducing new technologies such as AI.”
