A startup company called ZIKTO (CEO Kim Kyung-taek and David Han Seok-seo), which is pushing for ICO (Initial Coin Offering) of a new cryptocurrency called Insureum (USR), made an announcement that it has become a member of a global blockchain network called ‘EEA (Enterprise Ethereum Alliance)’.
EEA is a blockchain network, which is composed of major businesses, startups, and universities from all over the world, was established to develop Ethereum into an industrial blockchain business model. After it was established in March of 2017, it has Microsoft, Intel, and JP Morgan as its members as well as South Korean businesses such as SK Telecom, Samsung SDS, and Coinplug.
“We were selected as a member of EEA due to our ability to complete a pilot project, which was given by South Korean Government’s EHS (Environment, Health, Safety) Division, on a service that combines IoT (Internet of Things) and blockchain along with our ability to develop ZIKTO Walk, which is a wearable devices that fixes one’s walk and posture, and The Challenge, which is an application that measures one’s total number of daily steps.” said a representative for ZIKTO.

ZIKTO is pushing for ICO of ISR to establish protocol for Insureum, which is Insuretech platform based on blockchain technology. In the future, ZIKTO is planning to utilize Insureum as media to help trades between insurance companies and data companies and to allow consumers who provide data to share profits amongst themselves.
