During 2nd session, Vice-President Lee In Jong of Samsung Electronics’ Wireless Business Department introduced its plan to target mobile B2B markets with security solution ‘KNOX’ through his presentation on ‘Enterprise Mobility and Its Aftermath’.

Vice-President Lee let people know that future global mobile markets will be led by B2B markets.

It is estimated that yearly growth rate of mobile markets will be 4% from 2014 to 2018. While B2C markets will have 1% growth rate due to stagnant growth, B2B markets will achieve 8% growth rate.

“631 million mobile equipment will be used at businesses in 2016, and number of uses of business solutions will increase.” said Vice-President Lee. “After IoT is added, number of connected equipment will be around 8.3 billion in 2020.”

As information security is important in business markets, Samsung Electronics is planning to target markets by putting out security and expandability of KNOX.

“KNOX formed a perfect security chain from hardware to apps. As soon as instrument is turned on, KNOX protects devices in real-time and establishes independent space so that general apps cannot approach.” explained Vice-President Lee about KNOX. “Smartphones can be used as PC anywhere through KNOX desktop, and Android apps can also be used on Windows.”
