Seoul KOEX…IoT, Wearable, Pintech, And Cloud Are Brought Together

Information and Communications Technology (ICT) is making a hyper-connected world. Opportunity to see hyper-connected world is present for everyone where there are frequent communion and communication between people and things, and between two things.

Korea’s biggest ICT exhibition ‘World IT Show (WIS) 2015’ was opened on the 27th at KOEX in the city of Samsung. With the topic ‘Connect Everything’, WIS 2015 will go on for 4 days until the 30th. One can experience ICT businesses’ innovative new technology and products that are to preoccupy hyper-connected society.

Total of 421 businesses from Korea and foreign countries will participate in this event. Rather than conventional idea of TVs and communications, Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, KT, and SK Telecom will present future of hyper-connected society.

To realize hyper-connected society, many things will be brought together such as IoT service, platform, O2O, Cloud computing, Big Data, wearable, Pintech, and etc.

As if they have promised before, they will present contents and services that are only possible in hyper-connected society. There are going to be variety of events that spectators can participate. Startup and medium-small sized businesses will also participate to present their technologies, products, and services in competitive manners.

There are also going to be variety of unit events such as global ICT partnership program, business conference, ICT Tech+Biz briefing, presentation for new technologies and products, 2015 K-ICT forum for future talents, and etc.

Not only business conference that had been already registered ahead of time with a global big buyer and presentation for new products will push Korean ICT businesses into global markets, but it will be a gathering place where it will help deals between businesses.

“I hope that WIS 2015 will develop Korea’s ICT business and give great opportunities to experience ‘Connect Everything’.” Secretary Choi Yang Hee of Ministry of Science, ICT, and Future Planning encouraged this event to be helpful for Korea’s future in ICT business.
