Korean PDF viewer that does not need Active X becomes popular in foreign countries.

Epapyrus (Representative Kim Jung Hee) announced that its HTML5-based document viewer ‘StreamDocs’ is being used in foreign government agencies and businesses in US, Germany, Ireland, Spain, and ETC.

It is being used for business system of BancorpSouth in the US and product introduction service at in Germany. Spain’s water resource corporation ‘CETaqua’ and Ireland’s 32 local governments are applying StreamDocs on their document publish services.

StreamDocs was developed to aim for a foreign market that does not use Active X. Seattle’s branch and Korea’s main branch’s research team worked together for its planning, development, and sale. Unlike Korea that uses Active X or Plugin, it was made so that one can view pdf files or other documents just through HTML5. It can definitely be used in PC such as Windows, Mac, Linux, and etc and it can also be used in mobile such as Android, iOS, Window Mobile, Blackberry, and etc.

Original document gets processed in real time through a server, and page data that needs to be read get transferred to client’s instrument. The company explained that documents can be read fast and it is impossible for the documents to be leaked since they are read by streaming. Because it is provided in server form, it can be linked to time stamp or electronic signature solution.

“By having software market aim for foreign countries first and not Korea which is turning into like Galapagos Islands, Korea’s solution can also enter foreign markets. As StreamDocs joined forces with SDK mobile for developers, sales in foreign countries are increasing rapidly by more than 20% per month. We are going to continually globalize products that were successful in Korean market and release them into foreign countries.” Representative Kim Jung Hee disclosed about importance of globalization.
