A gas leak accident happened on the 30th at SKhynix M14 fabrication facility, which is located in Icheon, Gyeonggi-do province.
This accident happened on the 10th floor of the Fab construction site, and the fire department is making an assumption that 7 workers suffered suffocation while they were inspecting the place.
Icheon SKhynix facility previously had another gas leak accident last March. That accident happened when Zirconium Oxide, which isn`t too harmful to human body, leaked through semi-conductor and pipes. Around 20 people were injured and received treatment due to this accident.
SKhynix said " We are gathering all information, but we believe that they were exposed to gas while inspecting an air purification system inside product line."
