Samsung SDS and Oracle will join together to make move into China and global IT markets. Following Samsung Electronics and other affiliate foreign corporate IT distribution business, they have officially announced their expansion of foreign business.

Samsung SDS and Oracle announced on the 24th that they have come to strategic partnership for ‘Corporate Marketing related to Global Solution business’. Samsung SDS will be fusing the distribution solution ‘Cello’ with Oracle’s Data Base Management System (DBMS), middleware, engineered system.

The both company will first target China market. China IT distribution market is showing 16.2% annual growth rate. Last year, Chinese government announced the distribution industry’s mid-long term plan and therefore the possibility for growth is very high. The scale of last year’s global IT distribution market was 10.3 billion USD. It is expected rise up to 14.6 billion USD by 2018.

Cello uses Internet of Thing (IoT), provides tracking service, and can make demand anticipation through analyzing Big Data. It has features such as global supply chain management (SCM) that has optimized analyzing technique and function that can establish distribution plans. More than 90 million USD was invested in creating the solution.

Cello was applied in Samsung Electronics foreign distribution management. They have multiple supply cases including Dongwon F&B, Posco complex distribution system and more. Analyzing solution has also been confirmed by major domestic enterprises. Samsung SDS is putting Big Data analysis and SW development capacity together and collecting, analyzing, and visualizing sensor data.
