Ministry of Government Administrations and Home Affairs (MGAHA) is promoting a solution to stop the illegal distribution of public i-PINs. It has been 10 days since the incident. The reorganization process of identification numbers, which is considered to be the cause of the chaos, is put off.

MGAHA announced on the 9th that they are trying to prevent and find solution for the illegal distribution from public i-PIN system. They set up a Taskforce (TF) consisted of professionals for this problem. Security professionals analyze the cause for the accident and will reinforce the security system. After diagnosing the system structure and function of public i-PIN system, TF will upgrade the system.

One expert said, “With identification number, anyone can issue an i-Pin and this current system had create the illegal distribution problem. There already too many identification numbers exposed and leaked so there may be no solution.”

The reorganization of identification number, which was considered to be the solution, is currently put off. One of the official in charge of MGAHA said this is not an easy problem to solve.

Last September at the public hearing for the identification reformation suggestion, led by the government, about six serious plans were suggested by local administration research center. The government did not accept any of them.

A lawyer at Jinbo network criticized saying, “Although MGAHA is in charge, their actions in preparing solution and system reformation is very passive.”
