Boldness emphasized on the front, design to accentuate tough image on the sides

Hyundai Motor Company confirmed the name of a follow-up Tucson model to be released in March as ‘All New Tucson’ and unveiled the vehicle’s exterior rendering image on the 4th.

The new Tucson is characterized with the front part where an emphasis is placed on boldness with a large-sized hexagonal grill and the sides designed to accentuate the vehicle’s tough image. Since its first release in 2004, Tucson has been upgraded to a second-generation model in 2009 and is scheduled to be released in the third-generation model this year. This is Hyundai Motor Company’s key model and a best-selling SUV in the global market.

It is forecast that the new Tucson will be mounted with a number of high-tech safety and convenience functions. Hyundai Motor Company plans to unveil All New Tucson at the Geneva Motor Shop to start on the 3rd next month.

“All New Tucson has been designed to emphasize the bold image unique to SUVs together with modern and sophisticated urban style,” said a Hyundai Motor Company source. “With improved driving performance and sophisticated design, it will target younger customers in their 20s and 30s who are the key customers for compact SUV models.”
